 We now only deliver currently to the above countries, we have taken the decision to do this temporarily due to Brexit and the uncertainty around the Northern Ireland protocal, once we have more information on this we will then be adding more countries.

 Royal Mail Industrial Action 20/10/2022

Due to ongoing industrial action by royal mail we have made alternative arrangments and this will be informed to you upon completing your purchase.

We will use Evri for alternative delivery any additional cost will be covered by Millars Fine Foods. 

When Royal Mail industrial action is complete and deliveries are restarted we will then return to using this service.

We understand that this can be confusing and frustrating but we are sure you will understand that this is beyond our control at this time.

You do have the right to refuse delivery if you are unhappy with any alternative we provide and this will not affect any of your return rights in relation to EU distance selling regulations.

Current firms we use:

Royal Mail - (Domestic Deliveries) - When operating or not on strike!
UPS - International
DPD - For Specialist Items - Large Deliveries
FedEx - International
Evri - (Domestice Deliveries) - Back up Courier if Royal Mail is out on strike!
Company used is dependent on the product purchased, we always use the most appropriate courier for each delivery.

Shipping Charges: Are based on weight, volume and distance as used by the majority of couriers, your exact shipping cost is calculated at checkout.

 

Delivery Time-Frames:

Timeframes are based on the distance to your country and the time it takes to pass your order through customs clearance of your country of residence.

As we source and deliver your goods in the UK of grocery items clearance of these items is quite straight forward as they are moving between the UK other countries including Ireland, United States and Canada can take a little longer due to their customs procedures..

Delivery to some countries can take longer to complete and this is entirely out of our control.

Next Day Delivery:

Only available on select products, you will be notified at checkout if your item qualifies for next day delivery.

Not available outside Mainland UK

* Delivery timescales are approximate and can be affected by the customs of your country. Gift baskets are shipped in 1-5 days or by the date you request as long as you give us at least 2 days notice before the delivery date, next day delivery is selected which is only available if you place your before 4:30pm on qualifying orders.

Covid-19 (Corona Virus)

Due to covid there are some delays at certain ports, we aim to deliver your items by the date specified or by the date you have selected when placing your order.

We advise to add an additional 3 days to your order to ensure it can be shipped on time, if your order is for a gift basket we will ship this from our warehouse nearest your location and in some cases this can avoid the delays at ports.  

Alcohol Deliveries

If any of your orders contain alcoholic products you will be asked to prove your age on our website and the delivery driver will also ask for your I.D.

Alcohol can only be delivered to UK addresses only!

We use an age verification system that is used by most UK businesses when selling age restricted products and as such we will notify you imediately if we are unable to deliver your item due to age verification failure.

In this case we will contact you to offer an alternative product that is not age restricted and amend your order accordingly, upon doing this we will contact you when making these changes as the amendment may alter your delivery cost or order total.

Forms of I.D accepted:

We can only accept a passport photo page and your government-issued I.D photo-based. We provide a way for you to send this to us in your account area, once we receive and validate this we then destroy it.

Delivery of grocery  stock and traceability of your goods:

Some of our products and deliveries are provided by 3rd party suppliers and manufacturers they provide and deliver on our behalf specific goods as we do not have the facilities to do so in our distribution chain at present.

The stock is stored in a controlled safe environment that has been inspected and cleared by Environmental Health of the city in which they are located. We have done the hard work so you dont have to.

Full traceability is provided from manufacture to delivery of your goods. Millars Fine Foods has been inspected and cleared for the provision and supply of goods by 3rd parties due to our full traceability procedure and is inspected regularly to ensure we are recording this information and that it is up to date.
